"I've Been to the Mountaintop"

On April 3, 1968, Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his final (and fairly prophetic) speech at Mason Temple, in Memphis, Tennessee (not to be confused with a Masonic Temple). In this speech, King referenced the "Promised Land" and acknowledged that he "may not get there" with the people to whom he was speaking. The following day, King was shot and killed by an assassin's bullet.
