Water fluoridation has been hailed as one of the greatest achievements of the 20th century. Much of the scientific and medical community have lauded its ability to reduce tooth decay. Today, 95% of the world's toothpaste sold today contains sodium fluoride. But the question is, do the risks of fluoride outweigh the benefits? After all, sodium fluroide a main ingredient in rat poison, and warning labels state that fluoride should not be ingested. If fluoride should not be ingested, then why is it added to our public drinking water?
